We are constantly trying to improve the lives of our residents at each community through renovations, meal programs or any other need that is requested. Highland House has gone under extensive renovations to improve everything from our kitchen where each home cooked meal is prepared to the warm atmosphere of the resident rooms. The newest additions include a Spa & Salon for all of the residents to enjoy a new hairdo or even get a massage.
Highland House has recently taken an extra room and changed it into a therapy room where on-site physical therapy sessions can be provided. We now have a resident doctor who provides “house calls” once a month and calls daily to ensure our residents’ needs are being met and any health issues are addressed immediately.
Social gathering areas are a must! We have renovated one of the activity rooms into a worship gathering spot with church pews and a piano to sing the songs our residents have loved for decades. We have expanded our sitting area to include more furniture, wood floors and dining tables so that no matter what the activity, our residents can enjoy one another’s company with plenty of room and proper accommodations.
